Norman Luce - Writer
Writing is what helped me survive the COVID-19 pandemic.

Who is Norman Luce?
Background Story
From an early age, I knew I was interested in the arts. I started with performing in theater and enjoyed it immensely. I still do it every once in a while. Later on, I took up an interest in film & video and trained myself in the art of cinematography, making a few short films with my friends and continuing to do so. Then right around the time of the COVID-19 pandemic is when things started to change for me. I could not work or perform for fear of contracting the virus and spreading it to my loved ones. So, I searched for a new means of artistic expression, and I found it in writing. I had always enjoyed writing plays and film scripts for my friends, and I do have a blog where I review movies and discuss all things cinema, but rarely explored general fiction...until now.

47 Years after The Wave wiped out all non-biological electricity; humanity has reverted to old-west-style living, making the most out of the significant change that reshaped the world. One young girl born into this new world, Maya, a capable survivor, and generally warm person, has lived a comfortable life in her village with her little brother and great-aunt. Things take an unexpected turn when Maya discovers the machine's location that has repressed the world's power and decides to set out on a journey to find it. Along with her loyal Fox companion, Inari, they will see the world as it has become, and Maya will decide if she will restore power to the world or not. Her journey will shape her choice, and by extension, the future of humanity as we know it.

Commissioned Illustrations
My good friend Jonathan Herzog drew these illustrations, which were initially featured in the appendix of the first edition of Come See The Light. Sadly, these beautiful illustrations had to be removed to reduce printing costs and sales price for the Second Edition. So, to make up for it, I have provided them for display here. If you like what you see, I encourage you to check out Jonathan’s works at his website. You can find a link below these fantastic illustrations.
Thank you, Jon.
